Type I diabetic & bone stimulator

My wife is a type I diabetic who sustained a chronic fracture of the lateral hallux sesamoid with fragmentation and diastases. There now a recent development of a partial thickness tear of the third MTP plantar plate with marrow edema. The MRI shows interval healing and scarring of the second MTP.

the podiatrists are not sure what to do. Do you think a bone stimulator might be beneficial? An if so an electric or ultrasound. We are not getting answers. I might have to bring her to you or if you know of someone in the New York City or Long Island area you could recommend I would appreciate. My wife is so frustrated and sore.

Thank you in advance.
