Top of foot pain

I’ve been having pain on the top of my feet towards the middle for a while. It hurts when I am at work, stand still , or when I relax and get up they hurt. Could you tell me why?

    Hello and thank you for your question. Without examing you it is hard to say exactly however it may be generalized foot stiffness or arthritis due to improper foot strength or excessive foot stress. The top / middle of the foot has many small joints that can be susceptible to stress (standing, walking, running) if they are not properly recovered or any activity is done with improper shoes. You could start by rolling your feet 5 minutes every night on a golf ball or RAD Roller followed by 5 minutes of calf stretching. You can follow this with ice and anti-inflammatories to see if this helps reducing the pain. If your pain persists after doing this every day for a week then I’d see a Podiatrist who can better evaluate you in person. I hope this helps!
