I have extreme pain on the outer sides of my feet and nothing seems to help. What could be causing this type of pain?
Hello and thank you for your question. Without more information it may be difficult for me to answer however I will start by giving general recommendations in foot mobilizaiton. There is a muscle called the peroneal tendons that insert on the side of the foot. We use this muscle when we stand, walking, run etc. If this muscle is tight or over worked we can get a tendonitis or inflammation in the tendon. I would start by rolling your foot and peroneals on a foam roller or RAD Roller (www.radroller.com) You can also ice area daily for 10 minutes on / 10 minutes off x 2 I’d also ensure you are wearing supportive footwear for this period. If your pain persists after doing the above every day for 1 week then I’d see a Podiatrist who can better evaluate you. I hope this helps!
