Sensation like there is a sticker stuck to the ball of my foot

I’ve started to work a lot of hours at my job which is primarily walking. Everything was fine but then I started getting this sensation like there is a sticker stuck to the ball of my foot. I only get the feeling when I walk barefoot. Do you have any idea of what it could be?

Hello and thank you for the question. Sounds like you may have a change in nerve sensation to area of the foot. This can be due to excessive pressure or stickiness to a nerve in the bottom of the foot. The best way to initially address this is to ensure you are getting enough foot mobilization and release. I suggest using a golf ball or RAD Roller (www.radroller.com) to roll your feet every day at least 5 – 10 minutes. In addition I’d suggest stretching your calves for at least 5 minutes daily. When you are walking around at work I’d make sure you are wearing shoes with sufficient cushion to offset the stress of standing all day on the feet. Aetrex has a great option of shoes to support and cushion the foot (www.aetrex.com). I hope this helps!
