Red spots on heel, pains when walking

I need help identifying what I have on my feet- heels. Over the past six months I have noticed these red blotch like patches starting to develop on the sides of my heels. It started first on my right heel, to which I notice I tend to lean more on. Also at the time I was doing lots of cardio, to which I stopped. But it still seems to be developing. In addition at night it seems to randomly ache. Now even if I walk for more than 2 hours my feet ache. I try to not stress my feet but it still seems to be getting worse.. I went to doctor but he simply said not to worry about it. At the moment I don’t have money for a podiatrist. Someone mentioned it could be plantar fasciitis? I’m getting more worried and it’s horrible to look out.

Hello and thank you for the question.

It’s a little hard to tell from the picture but it may be more of a dermatitis or skin issue. Have you tried topical hydrocortisone cream or similar? Are there any blisters associated with the red area? Do the areas itch? Do you associate them with activity or certain shoes?

The answers to these questions will better guide the possible diagnosis of the red lesions. Thank you.

I have the EXACT same thing in my heels. Did you ever find out what it is, or get a treatment? They slowly grow over time. No itching or pain at all.
