I have pressure pain on my outer foot/metetarsal bone and is swelling this comes and goes a lot of the time what could this be and should I be seeking help
Hello and thank you for your question. Without examining you it is difficult for me to determine what is causing your pain.
As far as a general guideline, anytime you have pain it is important to decrease the stress to the area as well as address any inflammation. I would try to see if you can associate the pain and swelling with certain activities, at certain time of day?
What alleviates the pain or pressure? If it is certain movements or stresses to the foot that are associated with this pain then that helps determine the cause of the pain. If you feel that decreasing the stress to the area and icing or taking anti-inflammatories is not alleviating the pain or swelling then I recommend seeing a Podiatrist.
I hope this helps!
