Post op of Morton’s neuroma

Hello, I am 6 days post op Morton’s surgery top of foot approach. Hmm, I have essentially needed no pain medications. Foot was numb for first 2 and a half days had the only thing I am experiencing is at times very sharp stabbing tingling. Nerve like pain on the top of the foot. In the area that feels like where the incision is. I can wiggle my toes. My foot does not feel swollen within its dressing. Is this normal post-op pain for this condition? thank you.

Hello and thank you for your question. Yes this is a completely normal presentation for post surgery. I”d continue to follow your doctor’s recommendations of limited activity and keeping your foot elevated. I wish you a speedy recovery.
