Possible fracture healing process

I am almost positive I have a slight Navicular fracture due to a foul ball off of foot based on what I read. If I do not go to doctor, will it eventually heal? Or better to go to podiatrist?

Hello and thank you for your question. To truly identify a navicular fracture would require MRI followed by immobilization in a camwalker for 4 – 8 weeks depending on severity of the fracture. If you do not go to a Doctor and do not immobilize it may or may not heal. Just because you have pain in your navicular does not mean it’s fractured. It could also be a bone bruise. It may be worth seeing a Podiatrist if the pain persists. I hope this helps!
