Plantar Faciitis treated but pain now shifted

I had Plantar Faciitis about 10 months ago and pretty much recovered (with a shot from a podiatrist), but the pain shifted to the ball and side of the foot and is really painful when I first get up in the morning. I use soft inserts in my shoes and walking a little is bearable. When I try to walk bare or sock footed the ball and heel of my foot give me some fairly low but uncomfortable pain.

Hello and thank you for your question. I would definately start doing foot releases every day at least 5 minutes in the morning and 5 minutes in the evening with a golf ball or RAD Roller (www.radroller.com) In addition you can consider using a insert such as Lynco by Aetrex (www.aetrex.com) or go more in the proprioceptive route with Naboso Insoles (www.nabosotechnology.com). Other good releases for the feet include Correct Toes (www.correcttoes.com) and Bunion Bootie (www.bunionbootie.com) I hope this helps!
