Plantar Faciitis treated but pain now shifted

I had Plantar Faciitis about 10 months ago and pretty much recovered (with a shot from a podiatrist), but the pain shifted to the ball and side of the foot and is really painful when I first get up in the morning. I use soft inserts in my shoes and walking a little is bearable. When I try to walk bare or sock footed the ball and heel of my foot give me some fairly low but uncomfortable pain.

Hello and thank you for your question. I would definately start doing foot releases every day at least 5 minutes in the morning and 5 minutes in the evening with a golf ball or RAD Roller ( In addition you can consider using a insert such as Lynco by Aetrex ( or go more in the proprioceptive route with Naboso Insoles ( Other good releases for the feet include Correct Toes ( and Bunion Bootie ( I hope this helps!
