I believe I have this condition since I slipped and felt a pop in my foot now having pain from the mid foot to the ball. I was wondering if wearing shoes like Vibrams would be beneficial. Thank you for your time. Alex
Hello and thank you for your question. Have you had your foot xrayed? After any injury I like to ensure my patients to do not have a fracture. if you are cleared of any fractures then I’d start to focus on releasing the foot on a golf ball or lacrosse ball every night for 10 minutes. You may also want to consider using a metatarsal pad to offload the area. If the pain persists then I’d suggest seeing a Podiatrist to get a closer evaluation. I hope this helps!
