hi, my name is Nour, am 22 years old
for the past 2 or 3 months I have been experiencing pain in my left foot (on the top of my arch, the upper side of my foot), I feel the pain only when I start walking after I have been sitting for a while or after I wake up. the pain is bearable, but I am worry about it. Thank you for your question Nour.

Pain first step in the morning or after a period of rest is characteristic of either Achilles tendonitis or plantar fasciitis. Both soft tissue tightness often respond well to calf stretching, icing and anti-inflammatories. If the pain persists, I would recommend seeing a Podiatrist who can more accurately assess and diagnosis your condition.

In the mean time, I would also recommend ensuring that you are wearing supportive footwear throughout the day and often it is overuse and microtrauma that leads to the initial symptoms in both Achilles tendonitis or plantar fasciitis.

    Good luck!
