Pain Under Third Toe Around The Ball

I got a pain on my right foot under third toe around the ball of the foot. I have this problem on and off for 7 months. to my knowledge when i pull the third toe towards my chest it seems there is a pain around the ball of the foot area but i think it is morton neuroma. however i sometimes get a pain around the arch of the foot but what i think it might be is the nerves connected to my third to which also runs towards my heel might be causing the problem.

My questions are
Is it morton neuroma if so do you do cryosurgery and how much treatment or ssurgery would be causing me since i am self funded.

I look forward to your reply
Thank you indeed

Hello and thank you for your question. Without examining you it is difficult for me to say exactly what may be causing your pain.

Having said that it sounds like it may be a neuroma. Not all neuromas need to be treated with surgery. In fact many are resolved by steroid or alcohol injections and never need surgery. What I would do is see a Podiatrist who can better evaluate you to determine if it is in fact a neuroma. I personally find the most success with alcohol injections when they are done once a week for between 8 – 10 weeks.

    I hope this helps!
