Pain in feet

My toes are red from tips to where they join my foot. This started about three weeks ago . They hurt ,feel hot,. There is very bad aching in the great toe joint more on the right foot than the left. When I get off my feet the pain is worse. My feet are not swollen,

    Hello and thank you for your question. Without examining you it is difficult for me to say what may be causing your pain. Anytime there is redness and pain in the foot you want to see a medical doctor to ensure that there is no underlying infection.

    Not all redness is indicative of infection, it can also be inflammation but to be on the safe side I would see a Podiatrist.

    In the meantime I would watch for any other signs of infection including fevers, chills, nausea and vomiting – as well as signs of inflammation including swelling, pain on ambulation and tenderness to the touch.
