Pain Below Bone on Left Side of Right Food

I have a recurring pain in the area just below the bone that prottrudes to the inside at the top of the foot. It is in the soft area between that bone and the bone right below the first bone (which also protudes to the inside, but is smaller). Any thoughts about what may be causing it, other than the fact that the pain recurs after standing on my feet for a couple of days in a row?

Hello and thank you for your question. I will do my best to describe the area that may be causing your pain.

Sounds like the area of the foot where your posterior tibialis tendon runs. This tendon plays a role in supporting your foot as you stand and walk, which would explain why you feel the pain after standing long hours for a couple days in a row. Any pain to this area would be a tendonitis which can be treated with anti-inflammatories or ice, and limited activity.

Most tendonitis of the foot can take 1-2 weeks to resolve. If your pain persists after this period I recommend seeing a Podiatrist who can better evaluate you. Good luck!
