What can you do to relieve the pain of transient neuritis that occurs on occasion and lasts about 20min-60 ? (electric shocks top of foot) Thank you!
Hello and thank you for your question. If you have a true neuritis then it’s associated with inflammation to the nerve. You can ensure you are decreasing inflammation around the nerve with oral or topical anti-inflammatories or a Class IV laser. In addition I was make sure you are releasing or rolling the top of your foot with a RAD Roller (www.radroller.com) or foam roller. Do not stretch the top of the foot as this can further irritate the nerve. This can sometimes take 6 weeks to resolve. I hope this helps.
