I was snowboarding. I fell and my foot stayed in the strap. The snowboard twisted with my foot in the buckle. It hurts on top of my foot and through my toes. I can walk but it’s uncomfortable.
Hello and thank you for the question. Anytime there is a traumatic injury to the foot I would recommend seeing a Podiatrist to get X-rays and a thorough examination.
There are a couple fractures that would want to be ruled out after an injury such as what you describe and it is always better to err on the side of over-cautious.
In the meantime if there is persistent pain or swelling I would recommend icing the foot and/or taking anti-inflammatories. If your pain resolves in a week or so then it was most likely contusion or sprain of the midfoot.
