Foot pain around arch

I have been experiencing pain in my right foot for the past month around my arch, in the front of my foot. There is a slight tingling as well. I saw my doctor this pat Monday, 1/8/18. He did not think I should be concerned and just gave me a prescription for ibruprofen which is not helping . The pain is not radiating, burning or itching. It is more of an uncomfortable than painful. What do you think the issue is?

Hello and thank you for your question. I would start be incorporating daily foot release on a golf ball or lacrosse ball. Roll the bottom of the foot for 5 minutes followed by 5 minutes of calf stretching. Avoid excessive impact such as running and jumping and ensure you are wearing supportive footwear. If you do the above every day for 7 – 10 days and still feel pain then I’d see a Podiatrist to rule out plantar fasciitis. I hope this helps!
