Flooring choice

Dear Dr. I have seen a podiatrist in the past, withdiagnoses fromfalling arches to plantar fasciitis that comes sporadically. I work from my home, on my feet for most of my day and am privileged to choose a new floor. If I have good shoes, does the resiliency or “give” of floor material matter substantially to foot health?

Hello and thank you for your question. Yes surface is very important to foot health. The best flooring is one that is suspended or wood. The best surfaces for our feet vibrate and resonate when we walk. If you can look for these features it will greatly help you avoid foot pain when you are home on your feet long hours. Good luck!
