Flat fleet

I have fallen arches on the both of my feet (flexible flat feet by the way), and I wanted to know what can happen to my body as I get older? I heard there isn’t any cure. I already have knock knees from it, what else can happen? I had flexible flat foot since my childhood also.

Hello and thank you for your question. When you have flat feet your feet and foundation are considered unstable. This puts excess stress to the joints of the knees, hips and lower back. Excessive stress can lead to arthritis and joint pain. The best way to avoid this is to keep your feet strong and supportive. Strengthen your glutes and the muscles of your feet with Pilates or yoga. Help support your feet with orthothics or footwear. If you do all of the above you can avoid a future of pain associated with your foot type. I hope this helps!
