Flat feet and x-legs

Flat feet and x-legs (do not know the medical term but the legs are in the shape of “X”)

I have flat feet since I was young and recently someone told me my standing legs are in the shape of “x”. Even worst.
Are they related?
What kind of treatments I would need to cure the 2 problems?

Many thanks, c

Thank you for your question Cynthia.

What you are describing is referred to “genu valgum” or “knocked knees”. It is a structural condition which develops during childhood. Because genu valgum is structural it means that you cannot correct it. Typcially this knee position is associated with flat feet which are easier to correct.

If you are concerned with your flat feet or are experiencing symptoms such as knee pain or foot pain, I would recommend seeing a Podiarist.
