My feet gets hot while running

Hello Doc,

I would like to know if feet generate lot of heat while running? Because I have this problem while running on treadmill.
Are there any shoes that can help reduce this?
Is this a common problem with most of the people?

Thanks. Appreciate it.

Hello and thank you for your question.

Treadmill running tends to generate a lot of heat while running outdoors generally does not. Therefore, running outdoors is a better option. However, if you would like to remain on the treadmill, know that heat is going to be inevitable.

The thinner your shoes/soles, the more you will feel this heat so you can try a slightly thicker sole shoe. I’d avoid getting too thick of a sneaker though as this is not ideal for running.

    I hope this helps.
