extreme weight bearing pain

For weeks now I have had right foot pain located mainly on the top at the base of 4th and 5th toe pain also along outer edge of foot and into the ball I cannot bear weight on my entire foot at all..extremely painful. Years ago my horse shattered my pinkie toe..I just let it heal on its own. I have recently twisted my foot and ankle and now is very weak and happens easily..top of my foot is bruised up through 4th and 5th toe and anytime spent on my feet causes swelling and discoloration…mottling and gray

Hello and thank you for your question. Have you seen a Podiatrist yet and had recent foot Xrays? If not, I recommend you first ruling out that there are any new fractures. When we twist our ankle or foot we always want to rule out a fractured metatarsal and tear in the peroneal tendons.

With that much persistent swelling and discoloration, I recommend seeing a Podiatrist. In the mean time, I recommend staying off of the foot as much as possible and ice for 15 minutes on / 20 minutes off. Good luck!
