constant left foot pain

I have constant pain on the top of my left foot that radiates up my ankle. This has been going on for about a year. I’ve been to my family doctor and a specialist, I’ve had xrays, and prescriptions for anti inflammatory medication….nothing helps and the doctors seem baffled. I am not diabetic, all my counts are normal with an occasional spike. I am a truck driver by trade so steel toe boots are mandatory, but fit properly. Any advice is much appreciated as the pain is getting more frequent and stronger. Thanks in advance.

Hello and thank you for your question. Without examining you it is difficult for me to say exactly what may be causing your pain.

However, I will try to help you as best I can. When do you feel the pain? Do you feel it when walking? Standing? Driving the truck? Is the truck a manual or automatic? The answers to these questions help with determining the cause of your foot pain.

    Thank you!
