Callus Removal?

I am an avid pedicure devotee, even during the winter months. But no matter how many times I go, I always get so much callous build up from session to session. Then it got me thinking that maybe the frequent callous removals are worsening the condition. Is this true?

The formation of calluses is due to excessive pressure and shear forces between the ground and our feet. Depending where these calluses form, they can often suggest biomechanical imbalances in your foot type. Despite the frequent callus shavings, if a foot’s biomechanics are not corrected the calluses will continue to form. I recommend seeing a Podiatrist to get a biomechanical exam and see if custom orthotics may be able to correct your foot’s biomechanics
