Burning pain in heel

What can I do to heal the burning sensation I get in the heel of my left foot when I stretch my leg out straight and lift my toes upwards towards my calf? Like when doing downward dog in yoga. Is this something I can tape or what else can I do to stop the burning?

    Hello and thank you for your question. Sounds like you are stretching a new when you do that position. I would avoid this position if you are experiencing the burning sensation. In the mean time I would stretch the front of your hip (quads, hip flexors) to take the stress off of your hamstrings. If it persists as you walk then you’d want to start taking some anti-inflammatories. These irritations are usually transient which means if you get balance back into your pelvis it will stop.
