This past July I pushed off with my left foot to jump and I felt a snap in the arch. It hurt to even stretch my foot! I put ice on it immediately but over the course of several days, the arch area turned purple and blue and I had arch pain. Now, it still hurts in the morning when I get up and put weight on it. Also, I must be walking differently because the outer part of my right food is also having pain. What caused the bruising and why does it still hurt months later? Besides seeing a doctor, who will tell me to lose 20 pounds, is there anything I can do to relieve the pain?
