Blood vessel burst middle of arch

I’ve had burst blood vessels on the bottom of my feet before. I usually can see the blue color through the skin. I now have one that I can’t see any bruising, but I can feel a small pea sized bump that is incredibly painful. I can’t put weight on my foot at all from this little invisible bump. Not sure what it is and if it really requires medical attention. Any help would be so appreciated.

Hello Aagness, did you ever find any solution to your foot problem? I have exactly the same issue with broken blood vessels under my foot that now have formed a painful bump that won’t go away. Wonder what can be done to reduce the pan.

Hello and thank you for your question. Without examining you it is difficult for me to say exactly what may be causing your pain. If you have not seen a Podiatrist yet, I recommend having a more thorough examination. It may be a plantar fibroma, but again this is best determined by an in-person examination.

Most lesions in the foot are benign and can be injected with a steroid to decrease pain and inflammation. Some lesions are best diagnosed with a MRI, so your Podiatrist may recommend more thorough diagnostic testing. Good luck!

I had a swollen painful vein burst just the other day and now have a hematoma in the arch of my foot. Definitely not plantar fibroma. The tissue is very soft and tender now that the vein has burst. I do walk a lot but had never experienced this issue before. Could this have been a varicose vein?
