This is very hard to explain. It started out with my right big toe feeling a bit numb, tingling & then it started THROBBING! It's been two weeks and I started touching my foot everywhere & noticed when I press down on one of the bones at the top of my foot that leads to the big toe, that triggers it real bad. I am 37, don't wear heels, don't jog or anything. This pain has just gotten so awful!I may be crazy but it seems to get worse at night.
Any ideas or at least what kind of Dr. I should go see?
Thanks,
Kelli

PS
When I point my toes or ball them up the pain is very severe!

Dear Kelli
A good start would be to see a podiatrist for an evaluation. It could be a number of things such as pain secondary to a biomechanical problem leading to a capsulitis/bursitis, soft tissue/tendon involvement , trauma/stress fracture, overuse injury or peripheral neuropathy. Peripheral neuropathy can be secondary to a number of conditions, not limited to diabetes, hansen's disease or a virus. A thorough work-up will be necessary to rule out the above.

Good-luck and thank-you for contacting foot.com,
