I have just returned from the hospital after suffering a heart attack. Have found that glucose levels were very high and wonder if the numbness under my big toe and ball of foot could be caused by possible level II diabetes? Only occurs in one foot.
DOCTOR DNK
Yes, it is possible that you could be suffering from the effects of diabetes. Many sufferers of diabetes may have been diabetic up to 3 years prior to being diagnosed. However, since you also have heart conditions, then your problem could stem from poor circulation due to clogged or blocked arteries. I would make an appointment with your podiatrist for follow up.
