Hey all, I had the surgery. So far so good. Not too much pain at all and I am already walking on it in the boot after about a week and a half. I think this may work!!!!!!!!!!!

I was in pain for over 4 years and went though all the procedures (cortisone, physical therapy, casting, orthodics....etc.), and so far I think this is actually going to do it!!!!! I can't wait to walk even a couple steps without pain!!! The surgery wasn't that bad either. =)

Are you recomending that a person seek surgery first? For heel pain in general?

Their are many causes fo heel pain. Their are many surgeries for heel pain and their success rates should be considered.

What was the cause of your heel pain? What was the order you tried to find relief? Was it in the order you mentioned? Cortisone first?

I am glad you have found some relief after four painful years.

Unfortunatly it would be best to recomend that person try the lesser means first before resorting to surgery.
