I have bad road rash on my foot. How long will it take to heal? Will it heal even by walking around on it every day?

If your road rash is on the top and/or sides of your foot, it probably hurts to wear shoes. You might want to try the sandals that stick to the bottom of your feet for around the house to keep pressure off of the abrasions. Check them out at barefootinaz.com
My aunt used them when she had a terrible ingrown toenail and my nephew used them when he broke his little toe. Both found them very useful while they healed.

Dear Tony
I suppose it would depend on how bad the "road rash" is. Have you seen a doctor for this problem? I would recommend that you see an appropriate physician so that it can be evaluated. Technically, abrasions to the skin heals within a few weeks however, it all depends upon the actual depth of the would, if infection is present, immunological status of the patient, nutritional status, medications that one takes...etc...Sometimes a wound can take days, weeks or even months to heal. Don't wait, get a proper evaluation so that you will have the appropriate guidiance to heal this "road rash".
