My left foot
My ankle (instead of being central on top of my foot ) overhangs the inside edge of my foot
I used to do a lot of running but had to stop because on inside of leg about 6 inches up tendon was pulling away from bone and a lump was dveloping on bone.
I do not have flat feet but have quite high arches
In morning I get pain in heel that wears of during day
This is the same for right foot but to lesser extent
Can you help?

Your condition sounds as if you should definitely be using some sort of arch support such as orthotics to place your foot in a corrected position. You will find that you can walk longer and will have less pain as a result of the orthotics. I woudl recommend that you have a custom pair made which will be made from the impression of your foot. Also, many people with high arches and laxity to the ankles do quite well wearing high top shoes or boots. These are helpful since they provide the much needed support to your ankles. Please consult with your podiatrist if problem persists or worsens.

Is this problem with tendon common? Can you give me a name for this?

Well the problem with tendons swelling is a common one. Actually, the term for inflammation of a tendon is tendinitis, which is what it sounds like you had. If I had to guess based on your description; I would say that you had an Anterior tibial tendinitis. This is common in runners and if you fail to stretch adequately or running on hard surfaces. I would try to do more stretching and you may need to purchase new sneakers. Often, wearing shoes for too long can lead to injury and muscle aches.
