I have plantar faciitis and had 2 cortisone shots on the bottom of my foot, now the pain has traveled to the top of my foot and into the 3 middle toes. It is very painful to walk at times and wondering if its still the same condition and it just spread to the top or something else????

Dear Lisa
The pain may be due to compensation, sometimes we alter our way of walking due to pain. This results in an increase in applied pressure to another area of the foot which mayu reslut in pain. Get evaluated by your Podiatrist so that they can determine if the pain on the top of your foot is due to compensation or a separate entity. Good-luck.

found out its a pinched nerve from walking wrong ( from all the limping). Got a cortisone shot and its still hurting so I see another one in my future.
I am also getting pain in my hamstring tendon in back of my leg. I think its associated with my plantar...since the doc played with my heel again, it hurts now and at night its all puffy. Was told to not walk barefoot and/or wear sandals. ohmy.gif
bummer.
I see him in 2 weeks. can't wait. blink.gif

try not to get more than 2 of those shots a year, you're only suspoced to get 1 shot every 6 months, the more you take the shorter your pain free time will be.

smile.gif LIsa at night when you get out the shower, you take some bengay and rub your heel. So that menthol will help you a little at night. Maybe you will feel a little relief on your heel. It works for me. I do it ever night before I go to sleep. wink.gif
