for the last month my foot has been swelling for no reason ( I say no reason b/cus I've been to 4 doctors and they have not found anything wrong with it.) now the swelling is going down a little but on the side of my foot the skin is feeling real tight and itchy. Do you know anything I can do about the discomfort I'm having ...please help

Swelling to the lower extremity may be due to a number of reasons, venous insufficiency, excessive sodium intake, medication or the water retention also occurs at the end of the day. Your medical doctor would have to may that diagnosis. Some doctors may also say that after the age of forty mild swelling is not unusal to encounter. If you are concerned and would like another opinion, be seen by a vascular surgeon.
