When I get startled, such as when the phone rings the top of my feet tingle. It is like my nerves tingling. One foot is worse than the other. Also my foot is swollen across the top before the toes. Any suggestions.

It is unusual to have tingling of the foot being triggered by the phone ringing. I would suggest that you see a Podiatrist for a basic neurological exam in oder to evaluate your symptoms. Foot swelling can be due to a number of reasons. Prolonged periods of standing , prolonged periods of sitting, increased sodium in the diet, pregnancy, women on their menstrual cycle or more serious reasons such as liver, heart or kidney failure. You should go to your medical doctor for an evaluation in order to determine the exact cause.
