I have had tightness in my toes on and off for months. Never serious , more like a cramp in the toes on my left foot. Mostly in the 2nd 3rd and 4th toes.
About 1 month ago when i stepped on the front part of my foot the pain made my leg buckled. It felt like somone had bent my fingers all the way back. the pain was mostly on the underside of those toes. It will hurt for a few hours and then be tender and susceptible to reinjury for a week or so. If I am careful it will go away for a few weeks before it does it again...like today. it is quite painful on the days it happens. Not to the point that I can't walk but sometimes it is worse then others ranging from uncomfortable to limping, to just not wanting to walk on it.

is this what I've read about a neuroma? or maybe something else. I've read not much can be done for neuroma unless it is intruding on your ability to do daily activities , which mine has not been quite that bad... ANy ideas?

Dear Shelby
Many times patient's who complain of "neuroma type" sypmtoms often have symptoms such as cramping, numbness, burning, sharp, and shooting sypmtoms that are painful. Conservative management involves avoiding tight shoes, orthotics with neuroma modifications and possibly surgery.

Good-luck and thank-you for contacting foot.com,
