Hi, I have been looking all over the internet trying to find some information about my foot pain. I found this site and thought I could post my problems and maybe someone else has experienced this type of pain and can give me some info on it. A few months ago I started experiencing pain on the balls of my feet when I would stand up from sitting for a while. It would hurt so bad, that I couldn't bare weight on them. I would have to walk on my heels. After a few minutes, they would feel better, then I could walk on them. Then gradually it started hurting on the sides of my feet at the joint of my pinky toe. Now, they hurt all the time, especially if the side of my foot is touched. I can be laying in bed and turn my leg to the side and when the sides of my feet touch the mattress, it hurts! The pain goes all the way up the sides of my feet. It even hurts if I just try to stretch my feet or turn them to the side, etc. I have been seeing my doctor and he has ran blood tests for arthritis, came up negative, then ran x-rays; they were clear. I haven't been back to my doctor in a few weeks, my husband is changing jobs and we are in between insurance right now. But that hasn't made my pain stop!! Just wondering if anyone had any insight on this type of pain.

My initial thought was Morton's Neuroma, but this usually causes a shooting pain out to the toes. If the pain is a burning or tingling or you can't stand the sheets to touch your feet, you may have peripheral neuropathy. But it will require further test from your doctor to determine what is causing your pain.

Thanks for the reply. But the pain is actually an ache and when my foot touches the mattress of my bed the pressure...which is hardly any just hurts it like my foot has been hit really hard and the same kind of pain when I just turn my foot to the side to stretch it. It's also a very bad pain if you squeeze my foot a little at the joint of the pinky toe. But it's all a sore pain, no burning, etc. Like it's injured. And after I've been sitting for a while, it hurts so bad, I can't bear weight on my feet, the pressure is just too much. And as I said before, there is no injury, the x-rays were clear and the bloodwork did not show any rhuematoid arthritis. If this description helps anymore I would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks again.

I would suggest reading about plantar fasciitis on Foot.com. You do not have the classic signs but it is worth looking into.
