Hi,
I have had a foot problem for the last four years and I am fed up now. I have been to a ton of doctors, who give me things like its idiopathic, just elevate it, and maybe an edema. My foot problems are this 1. My foot is SWOLE!!! 2. It never goes down now, not even when I prop it up 3. It isn't really painful, except it goes numb a lot, sometimes in my sleep, even right now as I type this it feels like its getting numb. 4. Shoes are becoming uncomfortable, whether they are flats, heels, or tennis shoes, my foot swells, pushing the tongues of my sneakers up. My foot overpowers my shoes, it is clearly noticeable and wearing shoes hurts sometimes. I am a young 21 year old woman, don't have diabetes, any bad habits, didn't injure it, tests have revealed its not a pinched nerve, yes I am flat footed, but only the left swells. Does anyone have any ideas about how to get my foot back to the normal size, my right doesn't swell. HELP ME PLEASE!!! Is there any surgeries I can do? Anything I can do to make it go away? sad.gif

Swelling ot edema can be caused by many things but should not be ignored. You may need to go to a specialist. Podiatrist, Orthopedic Foot and Ankle, or vascular specialist.
