I have looked on this site and I can find nothing that appears to be my problem. On the balls of my foot and the bottom part, thier appears to be swelling. They don't hurt like a muscle or nurves would hurt, but in the skin. When I first take off my shoes and socks, the painful areas appear white. At first I thought they where blisters, but I have never heard of one blister covering an entire heal or the balls of the feet. After a while out of the shoes, they turn a yellowish dry skin color, but still hurt pretty badly. Can anyone help me out?

Hi,
It sounds like you are developing corns or calluses. Have you been standing alot? Sometimes when I stand along time (8 hrs/day) my the balls of my feet are whitish also. I get calluses there and on my big toe. I use a product that my podiatrist gave me called the personal pumi bar. I don't know if it will solve your problems but it might be worth a shot.

Thought I'd help.

Soggy white skin can be due to excessive persperation of the foot. I would suggest wearing a more ventalated shoe and a synthetic sock that wicks moisture away from the foot.
