What are the treatment options for mortons neuroma? The pain and 'fullness' seem to be spreading across my toes. My foot appear different than the other with the toes spreading apart and the foot appears wider than the other. There is sharp pain, burning pain, numbness and that full feeling like I am stepping on something.
I have a very high arch and mortons toe. Any suggestions??

Dear Gail,
Were you diagnosed with a morton's neuroma by a podiatrist/medical md? There are actually several treatment options if a neuroma is your actual diagnosis. Conservatively, one may try an orthotic with a wedge applied to the orthotic to accommadate for the condition, check shoe gear (make sure that they are of appropriate size/width), physical therapy, and injection therapy. When conservative options fail, surgery is sometimes an option. I would suggest seeing your podiatrist and discuss your options with him/her.
Good-luck and thank-you for contacting foot.com,
