Julie
I've been having very severe, startling, shooting pains in my right toes for the past hour and a half. I used to have this happen from time to time, but it hasn't been this severe for at least a couple of years. It hurts a lot and is driving me to tears. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this and what I can do about it??

I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL IAM RIGHT NOW IN SEVERE PAIN INGET THIS PAIN IN MY RIGHT TOE SOMETIMES IN THEE OTHER FOOT AND I CANT EVEN GO TO WORK NOT EVEN PUT MY SHOE ON IT FEELS LIKE SOMEONE CRUSHED MY BONES I CANT AFFORD TO EVEN GO TO THE DOCTOR IT SUCKS!!!! BUT I NOTICE THREE THINGS THAT IT MIGHT BE 1ST THING IS : STANDING ON YOUR FEET AND CARRING HEAVY THINGS CAUSES IT TO START . 2ND : EATING SWEET THINGS LIKE CANDY OR ANYTHING WITH SUGAR CAUSES IT 3RD EATING SALTY THINGS CAN CAUSE IT . I LOOKED IT UP AND IT SAID THAT MAYBE IT COULD HAVE BEEN CAUSE BY ALOT OF WORKING OUT WHEN YOU YOUNG THERE NO CURE BUT JUST REST. dry.gif[COLOR=purple]

Dear Julie,
Sharp shooting pain sounds like nerve pain. You should go and have it checked out by a Podiatrist, especially since its been going on for so long.

Good-luck and thank-you for contacting foot.com,
