I have had Morton's Neuroma for over a year. The pain comes and goes but is always there.I have orthotic's with a raised pad and have both steroid and alcohol injections. These have improved the condition but it still persists. The pain is much worse at the end of trhe day. I nhave a job where I have to do a lot of standing and walking all day.v Is there anything else to try short of surgery. This option scares me as I have read of cases where the pain has actually gotten worse with surgery. Please help!

I would suggest having the length and width of your foot measured. It is very common for someone to be in a shoe that is too small and then you add the orthotic and compound the situation. The width of the shoe is extremely important with Morton's Neuroma because the purpose of the orthotic is to lift and spread the bones near the ball of the foot. If your shoe is not wide enough you will be defeating the purpose.
