we have gone to several different doctors and even gotten the "shot". Nothing is helping- the hubby did 4 visits to PT-(ionization) and that seemed to make it worse. We have been to several Dr. that have no clue what this is because It wasn't an injury per see...dropping an anvil on the foot...
Hubby bought the wrong size REEBOKS and has been paying the price...he has very bad pain when we lays down- no relief in sight- Got some help from vicodin but can't keep taking that...he is in intense pain and nobody believes hims..
Primary care says that is is a growth- foot Dr. diagnose it as planatar fachia...This has been dragging on for 5 months- please help...sorry for my spelling errors- I'm no doctor but would like to slap a few!

Well I sense a bit of frustration. The treatments that your husband has been receiving all are acceptable depending on the problem. Coould you please relate some of his symptoms? You stated intense pain but where? Is it the heel, arch or both. You are correct in that one can not take Vicodin for ever. Is it true that all your husband did was wear the wrong size Reebok sneakers? How long did he do this and what activities was he using them for? I am more than willing to help if you can provide some additional information.

We are finally getting something going here- the hubby bought a size 13 "wide" Reebok tennis shoe from our local outlet- They didn't feel right when he bought them but got them anyway out of desperation. The pain he is feeling has finally been dianosed as morton's nuroma...going for an MRI in the morning and pending surgury once the tests come back. Shots didn't help at all- thanks for looking into this for us...wish I had found you sooner!

Well - thought we were going for surgery and this mess would be over soon but that's not the case. Hubby went for the MRI and turns out that he has bersitis! Now I can't find any thing out- Dr. says to get another shot- ready to scream and it's not even my feet that hurt...new info please???

Bursitis is inflammation of the bursa. The bursa is soft tissue that protects and cushions the joint. Shots will help reduce the swelling. Make sure your husband is in the right size shoe. Have his foot measured at a comfort shoe store. Good luck.
