My 6-year old son has flat feet. He is an extremely active and athletic kid. Although he does not complain about foot pain, I am concerned about his foot health in the future. Is there anything I can do to help correct his problem? How will this affect his future activities and sports?

It is great that you are concerned. Although he is not in pain now many sufferers of flat feet do complain of pain, fatique and difficulty with certain activities as a result of their feet. You should take your son for a consulation with a podiatrist who may or may not prescribe custom orthotics to help your son's feet.
