I have checked everywhere to see what this pain I am having. No where does it have info. on the side of the foot pain. It is my right foot and the pain starts from the bottom joint of the baby toe and goes down about 2" to where my heel almost starts. If I bang that spot or if I have my foot rubbed, I go through the roof. The pain is excruisiating. The skin feels fine and underneath is ok. But if you squeeze the top and bottom together, WOW!
What could this be? My left foot is fine, no problems.
Thanks

I was really hoping someone had an idea of this pain. It has been getting worse for over 2 months. I was involved in a rear-end car accident, last July, and have had many injuries surface since then. I wonder if because I saw in my rear-view mirror that I was about to be hit, if maybe I jammed my foot? It is my right, the one I use to brake and use the gas. I use good cross trainer runners, have no other issues with my feet (except high arches), but the pain is the opposite side of the arch. Anyone please give me your opinions. I live in a town in Canada that we have a huge family doctor shortage. I don't know if I should see a doctor at a walk in clinic or get in to see a foot doctor.
Thankyou for your time.
DOCTOR DNK
Well it sounds like you have been suffering from this for almost a year with the condition worsening. So my only suggestion to you is to make an appointment with a foot doctor as soon as possible. there could be a more serious condition occurring. I do not want to suggest anything since evaluation by the doctor should be your next step.

I have also been suffering from this same exact pain in the same location. I keep putting off going to the Dr. as I think each day it will go away but doesnt'. It almost feels like there is a blister under the skin & wearing particular shoes makes it worse. There is also a burning sensation & sore to the touch. There is no swelling or redness. I am also a diabetic & a little concerned about it. Just wondering if this is a common ailment with diabetics feet. I also have tingling in my feet which I am going to see a neurologist for. Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated

Dear Foot Pain,
I would encourage you to see a Podiatrist for an evaluation. Diabetics often complain of numbness, tingling and burning sensations which are associated with "peripheral neuropathy". Pain is not normal, especially if you are diabetic, you need to be seen as soon as possible before a blister or open lesion develops. Remember prevetion is the best medicine.

Good luck and thank-you for contacting foot.com,
