Hi,
I have been suffering from this sharp, shooting pain on the top of my foot near my big toe whenever I walk or lift my big toe to walk, etc. I was hoping it was just a pulled muscle and would go away but it's been almost a week now and I cant figure out what happened.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Mars

Well since you did not provide me with much information then it is difficult to diagnose your condition. Many thing affect the first toe. You should read about arthritis, bursistis, bunion deformity and metatarsalgia at our web site to see if any of those sound like your condition. Or you can provide me with a little more information about the type of pain, onset of pain, course of pain or any treatment of pain. However, if pain continues to persist or worsens then you need to make an appointment with a podiatrist for evaluation.
