Full Version: Determining Width

My wife is looking for walking shoes.

She has wide feet. She has found that a wide shoe is not wide enough and double wide is too wide.

I was looking at your womens running shoe and saw widths of 2a,b and d.

How do I determine width?

My suggestion to you is to go to the location or shoe company and be measured with their Brannock device. The Brannock device is the instrument used to measure one's foot. However, I have found that some companies device only gives the best measurement for their device. By this I mean what is a wide in one brand may be a different measurement in another shoe company. I know confusing, but this is the best way without guessing.
