Hi - I have had athletes foot for some years now... recently I have started to get pains in my heels... more so on the left hand foot.... I was told that it could be an infection from the athletes foot.... I got so good cream to clear this up.... My feet are currently clear of any infection.... best that have ever been I would say.
However, I am now getting this pain again... It is extremely sore especially when walking and putting pressure on it.... does anyone have any suggestions what this could be... someone suggested it could be a chipped bone in my foot or a heel spur.... can anyone throw some light on this problem.... and or possible solutions that I could try before splashing out money to a biomechanic that was recommended to me....

Well it does sound as if you could be suffering from heel spur or plantar fasciitis. You stated the classic signs of pain when walking and often also pain first step in the morning. You can try a pair of our gel heel cups in the mean time, but eventually if the pain worsens then you will need to seek an evaluation from a podiatrist.
