I believe that I responded to your question under the Foot Health icon, regarding balls in the heels? Please let me know if that was not your response and any specific question that you may have and I will do my best to provide you with an answer.

Hi there:
I had the same problem. As long as I was horizontal I had no paid. As soon as I tried to stand up (Vertically), I could hardly put my weight on my right foot. I went to purchase some good running shoes and also bought the gell inserts that add additional cushioning.

I also heard that if you lay in bed and stretch your leg out as far as you can and pull your toes up towards your stomach. It is uncomfortable, but it does work. I guess anyone that has heal scar is going to have to suffer for about 1 year until it reverses itself hopefully.

You may also what to discuss with your podiatrist about cortisone injections or physical therapy if you truly do have scarring and fibrosis to the heal. Alone, or in combination it may provide you with some relief.
