When I ski I get tremendous pain in each foot to the outside of the foot. That would be the area on the bottom of the foot farthest away from the arch. I have gone to a ski boot specialst and podiatrist with no change. The boot specialist sold me an upgraded pair of boots that changed nothing and the podiatrist said you have fkat ffet and there is nothing we can do. I real love to ski but the pain is excruciating ! Literally with in about 45 minutes of removing the boot the pain is gone. But if I wear the boot with out skiing I can wear it in excess of 4 hours. It is only when I am applying pressure to my feet as I ski. I am seriously at my wits end. Anyone have any experience and more importantly any ideas on how to remedy this ?

Well unfortunately the ski boot is not the type of footwear that will allow for an arch support or padding to reduce the pain. How long have you been experiencing this pain? Has anything changed such as a previous injury to the foot or different types of skis or boots? You should discuss other possibilities withyour podiatrist.

I had the same problem before, but found that it wasnt me feet that were causing the pain. It was simply the my technique while skiing. I found that keeping my knees inside of my ankles and did the trick. Before my knees bowed out to much and that was what was putting the pressure on the outside part of my feet.
